RATIONALE
The economic crisis that has started in 2008 has a major impact in the countries of Southern Europe, especially Greece, Spain, Italy and Portugal, which have experienced a significant increase in unemployment and poverty, an attack against the labour movement, an increasing flexibility and insecurity in the labour market and reduction of salaries and benefits.
In this context, the trade unions have a double and contradictory role.
